Anyone for tennis?

As the 137th Wimbledon Championship gets underway, we hold our breath that the rain stays away. Those inspired to recreate their favourite match moments at home will find a choice of 1,050 homes currently available to buy across the country which come complete with their own tennis court.
With a median price tag of £1.35m, this year’s Championship runner-up, with a prize of £1.4m, would be able to afford one.
Homes with tennis courts can be found in every region across the UK. However, they are most popular in the South East (37%), East of England (14%) and London (14%). Tennis courts attract a higher premium than other features. Source: Dataloft by PriceHubble (https://inform.dataloft.co.uk/)using Information Works. June 2024.

How does Harlow stack up?

Are there any properties in CM17, CM18, CM19 or CM20 with tennis courts? Yes there are!

With only 1050 properties in the country having one you would be forgiven for thinking that there are perhaps only 2 or 3 around. However, there are 18 properties with a court!

Why do so few homes have them?

Firstly, a court is 78′ x 36′ so you need a large available space.

Secondly, the average cost is around £45,000 to build.

Finally, not everyone would want one even if they had the space & money to spare!
