Every Harlow postcode rallied and lowered their selling times. Whilst Cm17, CM18 & CM20 all had small but welcome improvements, it was CM19 that had a massive improvement. Last month CM19 stood at a dreadful 132 days. This month CM19 saw an incredible 39 day improvement.
With recent turmoil on the financial markets due to tariffs imposed by President Trump, the property market holds its breathe as to what happens to interest rates in the coming weeks / months. Experts at the moment are divided (aren’t they always) with some saying rates could fall & of course, others saying they may rise.
Sales & Marketing Director of Jukes Estate Agents Geoff Flewers said: “It has been a pleasant surprise to see the selling times come down by 10 days. When you consider that the Stamp Duty relief has come & gone, it would not have been a shock if selling times had risen while the market readjusted itself. However, this time of year is always busy as many people want to move in time for the new school year. We are hopeful selling times may come down a little bit more in the next month”.
