Merry moving

As we approach Christmas, 61% of respondents say “Ho-Ho-No!” to any refurbishments or fixer-uppers, wanting to move in hassle free in the countdown to Christmas.
Over a quarter said homes in need of refurbishment are most sought after, on average a merry 8% cheaper than the average property up for sale.

In Harlow, the percentage of people who wanted a ‘turnkey’ property is currently 63%.

The amount that are looking for the cheaper property that needs some sort of refurbishment stands at 25%.

This of course means that 12% are looking for that much cheaper ‘fixer upper’.

If you are thinking of selling your property, make sure whatever agent you choose knows the full facts when it comes to the popularity of fixer uppers, refurbishments & turnkey properties! It could end up saving you thousands of pounds. It could and indeed should, cut your sale time and therefore onward purchase time down by many weeks!
