Jukes Estate Agents Harlow continue their in depth look at crime rates in Harlow and where it sits in the bigger picture of Essex and surrounding areas.

Many people think that Harlow will top the charts for all types of crimes in Essex. The following data is for the last 12 months and is supplied by Plumpot (https://a.plumplot.co.uk/).
For these blogs Jukes Estate Agents look at all towns and postcodes within Essex and occasionally, towns that are close to Harlow. Below is the top 9 or10 hotspots (Stansted Airport is nearly always in the top spot as a lot of certain crime happens at airports, if this is the case then we only highlight the top 9).

How did Harlow fair?
Once again Harlow has none of its 9 postcode sectors in the top 10. Once again we reiterate that one case of robbery it one too many but here is how Harlow stands:

CM20 3 recorded 189% of the national crime rate for Robbery.
CM20 1 recorded 184% of the national crime rate for Robbery.
The following four postcode sectors appear in the top 50 hot spots for Robbery:
CM19 4 recorded 120% of the national crime rate for Robbery.
CM20 2 recorded 110% of the national crime rate for Robbery.
CM18 7 recorded 107% of the national crime rate for Robbery.

Conclusion
CM20 3 & CM20 1 both come close to getting in the top 10. However, they don’t and once again we say. It is NOT Harlow that is the problem. It is society! Harlow really does do better than a lot of Essex towns. Again, we reiterate that the figures for Harlow are too high BUT, they are NOT as bad as a lot of people would like to make out that they are.
